What a great experience! Our guide Fransico was great with lots of information and insights.

A must see cultural site!

This tour was the highlight of our family vacation. It helped us gain a better insight of the local residents as well as the history of the area. The tour provided us with an opportunity to learn about this wonderful culture and see how they built their structures.

There are 12 or so small stands selling items that are a MUST to purchase. My highlight is a wonderful, handmade and decorated rainstick.

This is a must see tour.

Memorable Experience

Outstanding tour with Ivan the guide who brought the Mayan people and culture into sharp detail. Tremendous insight into the ruins, the geography and the people. Tour organization was excellent and driver and bus clean and the whole experience efficient.

Traumsausflug

Der beste Ausflug unserer gesamten Reise durch die Karibik. Das Schiff kam später an - wir wurden extra nach Chacchoben gebracht. Dort hatten wir eine ausgezeichnete Führung mit ausreichend!!!! Zeit für alle Sehenswürdigkeiten. Das Essen bei der Mayafamilie war ausgezeichnet, ausreichend und die Zeit äußerst kurzweilig. Insgesamt können wir diesen Ausflug aus ganzem Herzen weiterempfehlen. Ein gelungener Tag könnte nicht schöner sein!!!

Wonderful Experience Tour

We had a really wonderful time at our Chacchoben Extreme Tour. Our tour guide Perla, was very knowledgeable and nice, she answered all our questions. A the Chacchoben ruins our guide was Enricke, he had a great knowledge about Maya culture and told us very interesting stories. Lunch at the Lagoon was delicious.

We would strongly recommend Native Choice Tours to everyone. Really wonderful experience.

Great experience!

This was a great excursion. The guide picked us up on time, our van was clean and comfortable. Our guide and driver were both very knowledgeable about the Mayan culture. The ruins were fascinating and the weather was beautiful. The local Mayan residents had beautiful hand carved urns and trinkets for sale at very reasonable prices.

After the ruins we were taken to a near by lake resort that was absolutely gorgeous. Dozens of varieties of tropical flowers and grasses, all perfectly manicured. We were fed a delicious authentic Mexican lunch before heading back to port. A wonderful, informative and relaxing day.

We would definitely chose them again!

From the time we arrived at the Native Choice office to the end of the visit we all were very impressed with the organization of our tour.

Perla was the perfect guide sharing information about the culture and area. She and our driver made us feel like honored guests. Being in a small group allowed us to ask questions and not have the rushed feeling that you often get with a large tour group. At the ruins our guide Joel was excellent. He didn't just show us the ruins and supply facts instead he showed us through the ruins, allowing us to explore and get photos and then explained what we were looking at and shared his knowledge of a past culture with us.

Cruise ships caution you not to book outside tours but this company is well run and we would definitely chose them again.

Wonderful Experience

Pearl was our guide for the tour. She was very friendly, knowledgable and helpful. She went out of her way to make our tour exceptional. She and the driver even stopped and bought us fresh pineapple from a roadside stand. She shared information about her community, making it very personable. She helped our disabled sister climb steps to the ruins.
Joel was a very knowlegable and friendly guide at the ruins site. He shared his expert information with us and answered all of our questions about the ruins and the Mayan culture.
Our lunch at the picturesque seven colors Bacalar Lagoon resort was delicious and very relaxing. We would have enjoyed spending more time there.
The driver even dropped us off close to the town, so we wouldn't have to walk so far.

Overall it was a wonderful day!
We highly recommend this tour.
