Excellent

The online reservation was a very easy process . Once you are out of the port to get to their building is quiet a walk. Once you get there they are very welcoming, they have cold bottle water for you. Our tour guide Grissel was very knowledgeable and the driver Rito was very careful. The vans have AC and are in very good shape. On the way back we stopped to buy fruits from one of the stands on the road, the pineapple was very sweet and good. We recommend this company for your next excursion.

Best excursion of our 7-day cruise!

Abel and Hugo took excellent care of us. Abel was our driver who kept us safe and well hydrated. Hugo was a wealth of information on the culture, beliefs and history of the Mayan people and their brilliance. Thank you both for insuring we got back to our ship in a timely manner as well. When I return, I will be sure to ask for you specifically. Blessings to you.

Great company, staff and tour

This entire business is nothing but class. They deserve 10 stars and not just five. We were supposed to do a different tour but our cruise ship change of schedule so we had last time. The company was very willing to accommodate our needs at the last minute and provide a refund since the tour we ended up doing was less expensive. This tour was absolutely amazing with a highly I knowledgeable guide (Edder) and a very helpful driver (Miguel). Unlike the cruise ship tours, we had a small group which made everything go more smoothly and we felt that we had more personal attention. The only downside is the office location and the restrictions at the port. The company cannot pick up or drop off very close to the ships. it is a long walk along the pier and then through the shops before you can exit the port. It is still another four blocks after that. If you have trouble walking or are elderly, the walk can be difficult, especially in hot weather. There are taxis available once you leave the port but we had to pay $10 for the few blocks for any taxi to be willing to go that short of distance. Just be prepared. The company is worth the walk if it is not too hard for you.

Good tour

Guide Iglesias was very knowledge and funny. English well spoken. Well organized. Air conditioned rides. Really enjoyed the ruins and the knowledge provided. Driver Abel was with us in the tour with water for whoever needed it. Well done

Memorable Day

Dreaming about when we can travel again. This was such a fun day. Very nice mini buses with seat belts and comfortable. We actually all had our own seats. We booked this tour through Cruise One. So much better than the tours through NCL. The tour was just the right amount of time and the Ruins were fantastic. The tour guide was so interesting and informative. Thanks for a wonderful memory. I hope we can Cruise again soon.

Fascinating experience

Our group was divided on two minibuses. Our bus guide was wonderful even with her limited English. She had maps and stories to share and made the long drive to the ruins interesting. The ruins themselves were fascinating and our main guide was very knowledgeable. I love history and this was a terrific experience.
We then went to a local home for an authentic Mexican lunch. First we learned about the garden and the use of all the plants in cooking. We learned to make our own tortillas and then got to eat them. The lunch was wonderful and filling. I had a great time.
I highly recommend this excursion to anyone traveling in Costa Maya.

for a very nice day

Let me start off by saying that staying with the ships excursions to be safe is incorrect in this case. We disembarked and with in minutes were at the well organised and professional office of native choice. Checked in and were off on a small group air conditioned tour bus. Our guide was a lovely young lady named rose ,who did a excellent job of guiding us throughout the ride and the ruins. She was very informative and knowledgeable about the ruins and spent a lot of time explaining the history and everything of the mayan site. This was half the price of the ship tour and I'm quite sure not as personalized. Please highly consider native choice on your visit to Costa Maya

The best on our cruise

Looking back, this was the best thing on our Caribbean cruise.I hope others will read this and contact the native choice.
We were a group of 10, had our own bus and a wonderful guide, "Gris". She took care of us and knew everything about Mayan culture.
Our excursion included both Chacchoben and Bacalar lagoon. At the lagoon lunch and drinks were included. The lagoon resort was clean and well kept the staff were friendly. Beach chairs were free, and the lake was lovely.
A priceworthy tour.
