An Amazing Experience! Highly Recommend!
Our tour was on December 17th, 2021. We were surprisingly the only guests from our cruise ship to book an excursion unaffiliated with the cruise line, so we ended up getting a private tour! Our tour guide, David was extremely knowledgeable about the Mayan culture, both past and present. It was super interesting to learn new things about their way of life, political systems and community structure. David answered all of our questions that came to mind in the moment and knew all the best spots to get a great photo- even acting as our personal photographer so that my mom and I could both be in photos together. We really enjoyed all parts of the tour- the Mayan ruins and the private access to the 7-color lagoon. The complimentary tacos and drinks were delicious! It was one of the best experiences we've had with a company and attribute that to David's knowledge and kindness.

Beautiful ruins and an excellent guide!
David was a truly wonderful tour guide. He was knowledgeable, curious, and conversational. He knew many little facts and secrets about the ruins and local wildlife and plants, and was up to date with the latest archeological findings and practices. Also a great photographer!

Great Tour!
First I would like to say that the cruise ship said something about not being able to leave the pier without being part of a tour. That was not true. We walked right out with no one stopping us at all. We me another group in the parking lot of the pier so we walked to the tour office together. It was no problem whatsoever. Everyone was very good to us at the tour office. We were given cold water and had the opportunity to use the restroom before the tour. I loved our tour guide Erik. He was very knowledgeable about Mayan culture. The ruins were incredible. It is amazing what was built so many years ago without machines! I would highly recommend this tour!

The main hub is a short walk out of the port, very safe. Maria and Tacho were fantastic! Told us all about the history of the village and the Mayans on our way to the village. We had a fantastic authentic Mayan meal prepared for us. Everyone involved is very intelligent and more than willing to help answer any questions you have and make you feel as comfortable as possible. They let you tell them when you need to go and what you want to see to ensure you have the most wonderful time. We also stopped at the Seven Color lagoon which was beautiful! Very fun, relaxing, and informative trip to help us experience the Mayan culture.

WOW - Exceeded all expectations
This excursion was more than I could have ever hoped for. Our tour guide, Lorenzo, was kind and obviously has a heart for the area. He took such good care of us! Candido, our driver, was careful with us and I never once felt concerned or nervous. The Mayan Ruins were awe-inspiring and we learned so much. For lunch, we had authentic food from the area which was amazing. I would recommend this tour to anyone - Native Choice really does a great job!

I highly recommend this company. Exceptional value for the money. We booked with them directly instead of doing it through the cruise ship- highly recommend that. We had a Spanish speaker with us which made them easier to find. The guide was extremely well prepared and very informative. They provided water and umbrellas as rain was in the forecast. Their bus was super comfortable. Definitely will use this company again if I am ever in the area.
