This trip to the ruins was amazing from beginning to end due to our tour guide, Enriques, vast knowledge of the history of the ruins. His overwhelming enthusiasm, extent detailed knowledge of details was extremely informative as he spoke extensively on the bus & at the ruins...A unique experience.

Highlight of the cruise

I can not say enough about the great experience I had visiting the Chacchoben Mayan Ruins. The booking was super easy, finding the office for the excursion was a nice walk, and our tour guide, Lorenzo, was FANTASTIC! Having the chance to experience the Mayan ruins has been a bucket list thing for me and then to learn so much about the Mayan culture from Lorenzo was awesome. He even wrote out the basics for the Mayan system for counting so I could share it with my grandson when I got home.. That is going above and beyond to insure that a person has the best possible experience. To everyone at The Native Choice office, Pedro our driver, and especially Lorenzo, a huge THANK YOU for making this excursion so memorable!!!!

Excellent tour

Diego was an amazing tour guide, very informative, every stop along the tour was so beautiful we held our breath wondering what next adventure was up ahead. Our Mayan experience at one of the homes where we enjoyed a lunch freshly cooked especially for us and the chance to try making our own taco was unbelievable and the animals we saw and had a chance to actually hold was yet another highly. We would highly recommend this excursion to everyone.
Can’t forget our driver, he was great and was there helping with our lunch as well. Kudos to all at Native Choice!

Excellent directions from pier to meeting location. Easy 15 minute walk. We were nicely greeted, quickly given a wrist band and info about the rest of the day. Our group gathered and we were off. Prepare for a ride a bit less than an hour. But, our guide kept us entertained and informed with local information and answers to our many questions. At the resort, there were plenty of seats (shaded or not), clean facilities, and an excellent taco lunch. Only my husband and I went on the kayak part of the tour as it was a bit windy and the other group members were older. Beautiful area, lots of history, lots of nature. All and all a wonderful day. As another review stated, bring water shoes, it is a bit rocky.

Great company

Their website is easy to navigate and very informative. I did not get to go on my booked tour as the ship was unable to dock due to weather. The Native Choice refunded my payment immediately without being asked. If I return to Costa Maya I will definitely book a tour with this company. Thank you Native Choice.

Amazing tour!

We had an amazing tour with Edder and the driver! Edder was so knowledgeable about the ruins and his driver( I can't remember his name, started with an E) was and excellent driver and brought us water on the tour. They then took us to a Mayan village to a home where we made our own corn tortillas and then we had a delicious lunch after Edder explained all the spices to us! If you are looking for a great experience please choose this tour excursion!!

Our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, able to project her voice so as to be easy to understand. Check-in was quick, easy & efficient. The tour was very interesting.
