The best experience

My wife and I took my son for his high school graduation on a cruise and booked this tour again having taken it September 2012. He had the best time. Ivan is absolutely wonderful and his knowledge of the site is unequaled. We saw things that the other disney tours didn't get to see. We stopped at pineapple town on the way back and got the freshest pineapple I've ever had. The ones with chili were amazing.

We learned more about the Mayan culture during this trip. I can not say enough good things about our experience. If you are on a cruise ship and you take the excursion from the ship. Not only are you throwing money away but missing the experience of a life time. Ivan, David and their team are by far the best. If your concern is the time getting back in time don't the two times now that we have toured with them we beat the cruise excursions back with plenty of time to shop for Oakley glasses in the port or ride the aquaduck.

Was really impressed with this tour. We arrived in Costa Maya in the morning and departed the ship. I followed the directions given to me from this group and after a short 10-15 minute walk, arrived at the tour office. There, we were met with ice cold bottled water and had a very short wait as we were put into small groups.

I did this tour with my wife and three children. We were grouped with 5 other people. We rode in a nice vw bus type vehicle. It was well maintained and air conditioned. We had our own tour guide who was very informative and spoke english well enough. She was actually an archaeology student and lived in Costa Maya. She gave a lot of local information and knew the ruins very well. Afterwards, we asked the bus driver if he would pull over on the way back to the port so we could get some beverages at a roadside market. Our other part of the group all bought a six pack of beer and we bought sodas for our family and it was a lot cheaper than buying them at the ruins. It was nice that they would do that and believe me on a big tour, that would not have been possible.

I had experienced Tulum on a different cruise and enjoyed it as well; however, it was booked through the cruise ship and was a lot more expensive and the group was much larger and impersonal.

We looked at booking this similar tour through the cruise ship and believe me, if you want to save yourself some money and have a better experience, I would choose this group.

Awsome!

Our tour with Native Choice could not have been been a better choice for us. Our guide, Frine, kept us entertained & informed from beginning to end. We felt like part of her family by the time the tour was over. She answered all of our questions & even pointed out things we didn't think of. Our driver, Saoul, was courteous and safe and we all appreciated him getting us to & from our destinations safely.

We would definitely go with Native Choice again and highly recommend them to anyone considering a tour in Costa Maya.

Awesome tour with Erick & Pedro!

I wanted to express the outstanding experience, my family and our friends had on our tour of The Chacchoben Mayan ruins though The Native Choice company. We traveled to Costa Maya on the NCL Dawn on November 21, 2013; we had a group size of 9 people. The company building and vehicles were really nice and air-conditioned (they also provided bottled water during the tour). The staff was so very friendly and professional.

Our tour guide was Erick and Pedro was our driver, Erick did a great job with conducting the tour. He provided so much information about the Yucatan Peninsula and about the Mayan culture, plus Erick is Mayan so that made the tour even more special as he spoke knowledgeable about his people. You could feel the pride that he had of his people and culture. We learned some of the Mayan language and he did a great job explaining about the Mayan life. We all had so much information to carry back home that we had not known before, the kids are going to give awesome reports at school. Both Erick and Pedro were friendly, professional, and made the trip for us. It was an amazing tour that we will always remember, and the Mayan ruins…..breath-taking!

I am very glad that we did not participate in the ship excursion, as I conducted my own research and found The Native Choice Company online. I will definitely pass information about the Native Choice Company to others, as it is a great company, with friendly and informative staff members, and the price was really great! (lower than what the ship was charging) When we come back to Costa Maya, we will definitely tour with you again!

Great Tour and Fantastic Hosts. If you don't want the big tour group and this is the tour for you. Small groups and informative tour guides.

Awesome Trip

What a way to spend our 20th anniversary then a tour of the ruins.
We decided to take the tour with Natives choice and so glad we did.
The guides were awesome.

We had such a good time we have scheduled to return this December with our oldest son.

Beautiful people & beautiful tour

There were three of us including my 83 year young mom. These folks were so nice and professional and they took great care of Mom and all of us. Andrea and Joel were our tour guides and their knowledge and delivery were exemplary.

The tour far exceeded our expectations but the warmth and sincerity of the group was special. The ruins were extraordinary and the detail of the history and culture of the Mayan people is very interesting. Joel certainly does his heritage proud. I have never experienced a more personal and fulfilling tour. Joel's visit to the typical modern Mayan compound was so much fun and the lunch was great. Best tamales I've ever had. Please continue with the good work and hopefully we will visit you all again soon.
