Native Choice Extreme #1

We booked our Native Choice Extreme excursion months before our cruise to Costa Maya. Native Choice was easy, fast check in and we had an awesome tour guide Edder along with his great driver Alex (Alessandro). We chose the tour that took us to Chacchoban Mayan Ruins, where we saw the flora, fauna, Spider monkeys along with the ruins. Then on to a private resort not far away (we passed pineapple plantations) to eat (delicious homemade food) and drink unlimited, then could sit out in the sun, swim in the turquoise lagoon and/or kayak the lagoon.
I've been to Chichen Itza , Akunel, Tulum and Coba all much larger than Chacchoban but without the tour guide and the great time at the lagoon!

Excellent Tour

Great tour by Diego and Miguel. Tremendous depth knowledge of the Ruins coupled with safety considerations. Highly recommend

Chacchoben Ruins with Joel!

I was in a group of 11 that went on a tour of the Chacchoben Ruins in January. Since we had a group of 11, we were able to have our own van. We were fortunate enough to also have Joel as our guide. HE WAS AWESOME! From the minute we got in the van, he started telling us about himself, the local area, the culture, the history, etc. Very knowledgeable and informative. Our tour of the ruins was great too. There were several large buses there with big groups, but we were able to weave around them and have a very good private tour of the site. Joel shared his in-depth knowledge of the site, the culture, the individual temples, and anything and everything else about the site - from the types building and who lived there to the types of trees and how they were used! On the trip back to port, we stopped at a roadside stand and got some fresh pineapple and some beverages for the ride! Joel was fantastic! We would highly recommend him and this excursion!

Beautiful Tour, Perfect Guide

We had a party of eleven and were guided by Joel (Boris) and driven by Tacho. Joel was very informative, providing information I was unaware of, like the reason for human sacrifices. He also facilitated a stop at the local pineapple stand for a delicious post-hike snack. If you go, ask for Joel!!

Excellent Chacchoben Ruins tour

Joel was our tour guide for the day. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the Costa Maya area and the ruins. He was friendly, and patient making sure everyone was able to take the pictures they wanted. Our driver Chacho? was great getting us around safely, and the van was clean and comfortable. Would do it again if CM was our port!

Nice!!!

We had excellent tour guides including Rose, Edder, and Tacho. We loved the ruins and the knowledge. Had a blast at the lagoon. Thanks for all your hard work!!! We will definitely look you up if we travel that way again.

Choose this tour

This was the perfect tour for us as my wife has some difficulty walking and yet we enjoyed the whole experience. Our guide Diego reminded me of our NPS rangers with his extensive knowledge and passion about the culture.

Our driver Pedro and Manuel were a pleasure as our hosts during the ride. Check out the Trip Advisor reviews which endorse this company's tours.

Thank you Diego and Native Choice

The Mayan Experience tour (ruins and lunch in local village home) was one of the best ones we have ever taken. We were taken to the ruins before the cruise bus tours descended and Diego gave us a great tour of the area. I cannot say enough about his efforts in ensuring that our day was perfect. It was a wonderful culinary/historical/cultural tour and we highly recommend it to anyone stopping in Costa Maya. Diego, you were a phenomenal guide!

Thank you, Native Choice, for also refunding our deposit for the two members of our group who were unable to attend. I wasn't expecting the refund as it was rather short notice. Great business practice to ensure repeat customers and positive word of mouth!
