Excellent Tour

Kasi our tour guide was very knowledgeable and really gave us an in-depth history of the area. Since she is a local she gave us an understanding of how life is in the area. The company worked well with getting us back to our cruise and really was very polite. Short walk from Port.

A Great experience

Even though this was a while back we still remember how wonderful it was. I finally found Erick's, our guide, card. Visiting the Mayan family home, having time with them and enjoying the wonderful meal was a great experience. Their warmth,kindness and hospitality made it very memorable. I would definitely recommend it.

Wonderful wonderful day!!

My husband and I were on an awesome kayaking tour lead by Edder. I cannot say enough about how great this cruise excursion was for us. The Native Choice office was a short walk from the pier. We were driven to the blue lagoon in a nice van and gained a lot of information on Mayan culture and tradition and language from Edder. When we arrived at the lagoon, we could not believe our eyes on how beautiful and tranquil it was. Edder gave us a great kayak tour of the lagoon and we saw several types of birds, waterlilies, orchids,... Afterwards we had a great lunch and enjoyed the hammocks at the beach until it was time to (unfortunately!) leave this paradise. Edder took great care of us :o)

Better than expected!

This trip was so much more than we expected, all down to Kasi's animated delivery of interesting facts and local anecdotes on the journey to Chacchoben. On arrival at the site we were impressed with her depth of knowledge, bringing ancient history to life in a very engaging way. Very good from start to finish.

Superb Tour

what a great tour! The staff were the greatest, very professional, neat, well dressed and very knowledgeable. My thanks to the beautiful ROSE who checked me in for my tour, to DIEGO who was a great bus buddy on the drive to our tour site, and to ENRIQUE, who is the greatest tour guide ever! Keep up the good work guys!

Great day

We pre booked this tour with a large group and the company made the whole process so easy. Their instructions of where to meet were also very clear, our guide was very informative and spoke fluent english, the ruins are a must. The Lagoon was very peaceful and the food was good, and free open bar the only thing i would add if you do this tour is take water shoes and the bottom of the lagoon is rocky.

Great Tour Would Highly Recomend It

We had a fairly short walk from the pier, it was raining and the guides meet us part way with umbrella. We checked in and had a short wait for the loading of the passenger van. We had 12 people in the group. Our tour guide was Kacie, she spoke perfect English. She explained everything to us on the ride out, and went into more detail as we were walking around the ruins. On the way back we stopped and had honey drop pineapple, it is a type of pineapple that is only sold locally, and not shipped to other countries. The price of the tour was about 1/3 of the price offered through the cruise ship. I would highly recommend this company, to anyone that wants to learn about the Mayan Indians.

Great Excursion

We all enjoyed the Chacchoben Ruins tour and so happy we booked with The Native Choice. We chose to schedule with The Native Choice instead of the cruise option. Very nice, air conditioned van, we were a small group of 9, and we had the best driver and guide, Joel. Thanks for your expertise in the Mayan culture. I recommend The Native Choice when they are an option.
