Great tour

Tour guide, Fabiola, was very knowledgeable and an excellent guide. After seeing the Mayan ruins, we went to a small, but beautiful resort for lunch and some time on their private beach. Swimming and kayaking available. Good value, much less expensive than tour offered by cruise ship, that did not include the resort experience.

Awesome Experience

This tour was by far the highlight of our vacation. The staff was very nice and so knowledgeable of the ruins. They were able to answer all our questions and provide so much information that we were blown away by the experience. We didn't feel rushed through the ruins at all and were able to explore each area thoroughly. They even stopped and got us some fresh pineapples on the way back to the port, which were amazing. I would recommend this tour to everyone! Great staff and awesome guides!

The Real Deal

Very pleasant welcome when we arrived at the departure point from all staff. Our guide was Hugo, who is very knowledgeable about history and the local flora. He was also very personable and interactive with both adults and children in our group. Our driver was named Able and he is very able to drive safely and serve us as well. A great team and a wonderful down to earth tour for us.

Ron, Saul, and Hugo were the best!

Really friendly and helpful throughout. We enjoyed it very much and would recommend it highly. All were very knowledgeable and we learned a lot. Very excellent! We only wished that it could have lasted longer - at the very least we would want to do the Extreme version that included a meal. That would offer the best experience and is definitely worth the time and $.

We now know that Costa Maya is in the state of Quintana Roo, and that there are only 1500 people in the village of Mahahual (Ron that was for you :)

We will never forget you, nor the welcome that you gave us. The people here are amazing!

Great value

Enrique was our guide and Rito was our driver. Both
are so knowledgable and educated us well on the Ruins and local culture. It poured rain about 30 min into our trip, but luckily Rito carried umbrellas for everyone. They're both so professional and made us feel comfortable from the start. It was a bit of a hike to get to pick up site, but we were fortunate to get dropped off closer to cruise port on return. I have seen other ruins in Mexico but up close & personal these are well worth the trip

Ship Late

We didn’t get to go on our excursion because the ship docked late and the weather was bad! They where more than happy to refund our money, give us towels to dry off and even drop us back off at port! Anytime I’m back in Costa Maya I will 100% use Native Choice! Even though they weren’t making money off me they where still top notch in every way!

The Mayan Experience was Amazing!

Everything about our experience with The Native Choice Tours was excellent. We were provided water at the meeting location before boarding a clean and air conditioned van to Chacchoben. Our tour guide was Erick and he was extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic about teaching us about the Chacchoben Maya ruins and village. You could tell Erick was passionate about his job and enjoyed sharing his experiences with others. After a tour of the Chacchoben ruins with got back on the vans and traveled to the village. We stopped at a home in the village and had the opportunity to make tortillas with the Mayan women before sitting down to a traditional Mayan meal. We also toured the garden and learned about all of the different crops the Mayans produce. After our meal we were transported back to Costa Maya and dropped off at the port entrance. We never felt rushed or were in fear of getting back to the cruise ship on time. Everything about this tour was well planned and executed to perfection.

Amazing Tour

One of the best tours my husband and I have ever been on. We were blessed to have an awesome driver (my apologies I've misplaced his name - but remember he's beautiful smile) and our amazing tour guide - David. Right from the moment we were checking in for the tour we were greeted by a number of employees with bright smiles. We were offered a bottle of water while they arranged the tour groups. Once our tour left David began to explain to us all of the history of Costa Maya. He's knowledge throughout the day was unbelievable!! There wasn't a topic or question that he was not able to fully answer and explain. He has such a love for his country and his heritage. Returning to our ship we felt that we truly embraced the true essence of Costa Mayo thanks to David. Later that evening on the ship we ran into other passengers that were on the same tour and we were still talking about David and he's amazing zest for life and unlimited knowledge. In this crazy world it seems we can all get so busy that we forget to take a moment and praise or acknowledge someone. We didn't want to miss this opportunity to let you know just how valuable both these amazing men are to your business!!!
