This was the best excursion of our cruise.

This was the best excursion of our cruise. We were hesitant a little bit to take the tour outside of the cruise organized tours as our ship was docked in Costa Maya for just a short time. But thanks to everybody from Native Choice we made it on time without sacrificing anything from the Mayan Experience tour.
Our driver Pedro was getting us to Chacchoben Ruins safely and fast. Actually we were first on the place. Could you imagine how great it was to walk around the area without crowds of other tourists that followed later? Our guides were Joel for Chacchoben Ruins and Louisa which took over our group of 9 for the visit to Mayan Village. Both of them were very knowledgeable and would answer any questions you might have.
Not only the places we visited on this tour but as well the people from Native Choice who became part of our group for those few hours will remain in our memories for long time.
Thank you Luisa, thank you Noel, thank you Pedro for wonderful job you have done.

Our tour guide, Juel, was excellent.

Transportation from the port to the Native Choice office was a little disorganized. But, our tour guide, Juel, was excellent. He obviously enjoys his job and is quite knowledgeable about the area and the ruins.

It's a shame the cruise ship wasn't in port longer because we would have enjoyed spending more time listening to him.

Do yourself a favor and sign up.

Wow! Do yourself a favor and sign up for the Chacchoben Extreme tour. Joel was our guide at the ruins and he was so knowledgeable about Chacchoben. My family and I really enjoyed information about the ruins and the Maya people.

After the ruins, we headed out to the kayaking and lunch portion of the tour. Fabi and David escorted us to the shores of the 2nd largest lagoon in all of Mexio. Lunch was fabulous. Chips with fresh pico and wonderful chicken fajitas all washed down with yummy margaritas. The lagoon was so refreshing - perfect temp for swimming and kayaking. My children had the best time. My only complaint was we could have used more time at the lagoon, but that is not Native Choice's fault as we were on a very tight schedule to get back to the ship. (Fabi was very concientious about getting us back to the cruise terminal on time!) Next time I'll beg the ship to give us another hour! :-)

Overall the Extreme Chacchoben tour is more than worth the money. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend it for anyone considering excursions in Costa Maya.

Amazing experience

We cannot thank you enough for the amazing experience we had on this excursion. By far, this was the highlight of our trip. The ruins were amazing to see. Ivan, our guide, was very knowledgeable and did a great job educating us on the Mayan culture.

We thoroughly enjoyed the Mayan village and the opportunity to meet the Mayan ladies. The tortilla making was a fun event. And the meal they prepared was excellent!

We highly recommend The Native Choice to all visitors!

Our tour guide Joel was so knowledgeable and such a great teacher! Eric, our driver was fun and very nice.

We had lunch with Dona Adela and her daughters, very yummy and they welcomed us so warmly! We made tortillas and had a wonderful time! There was supposed to be a party of six but they cancelled last minute so we had Joel and Eric all to ourselves. Lucky Us! We highly recommend The Native Choice and especially The Mayan Experience!

Thank you Jasmine and Jacob for great tour.

We reserved out tour on internet beforehand. When ship docked and we met the others going with Native Choice tours outside of dock area. We drove out to ruins in 10 person vans for arond 1 hour and arrived at tour starting point.

Ruins tour was excellent and learned much in a hurry while we walked on and about several ruin temple buildings. After we loaded up in the van and then met Jasmine who took care of us at Blue Lagoon stop for great lunch and drinks. Jasmine introduced us to the local drink called a "submarine". Suggest u try it, for she makes it just right. My son and I had several ones and we are now hooked with this new experience that we are enjoying even now.

Recommended 4 sure as not offered thru cruiseship.

I can't recommend The Native Choice highly enough.

I can't recommend the folks at The Native Choice highly enough. Our guide at the ruins, Joel, was just packed full of information and was happy to answer any question we had. He also set the record straight about 2012 (hint: don't quit your day job...).

Ivan took us through the lunch experience and, again, provided so much information on the way the native peoples live and eat, food preparation, family dynamics... it was fascinating AND the lunch was outstanding! Don't miss the hibiscus tea and apple-bananas!!

If you are looking for something to do in Costa Maya, you have to talk to these guys!

I would definitely recommend this tour

What a great tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable and lead us through the ruins with plenty of time to take pictures and explore.

We were the first group of the day with 13 people. That made it easy for us to get great photos without a lot of people all over the place. Plus, it was the cool part of the day. And we sampled fresh pineapple from a roadside stand on the way back to Costa Maya.

I would definitely recommend this tour to everybody we know.
