Great Day

Our family had a great day with Rosa our tour guide. She was so friendly and knowledgeable. I was originally a little worried about taking the tour with a group that wasn't affiliated with the cruise line, but there was no reason for my concern. The van was comfortable and in good condition. I felt safe the entire time. The cost for the day was considerable less than the tours offered by the ship. We were able to have our own private tour for just the four of us. What a treat. I would definitely book with them again.

Fantastic Chacchoben Excursion !!!

First I have to say that the tour vehicle was air conditioned, well maintained, and our driver Reito operated the vehicle in a very safe manner. Our tour guides Alondra Garcia and Maria (Whom met us at the Chacchoben ruins site) were extremely knowledgeable and had a very good sense of humor. The three of them were very professional and made our excursion safe and a lot of fun. We had lunch with actual Mayan descendants, which by the way was a very very good home cooked meal made by the ladies of the house. They taught us how to make tortillas which we were able to cook some ourselves.They even supplied us with umbrellas when it rained. How Awesome is that?! When my lady and I return to Costa Maya we will be using The Native Choice again without question. It;s a shame I can only give 5 stars. They deserve more!

The best tour guides

The only reason I didn't give it a full 5 stars is because when we had to walk 4 blocks to the tour agency, it was a bit sketchy; especially for 2 women walking by ourselves.
Other than that, AMAZING! Our tour guides were Juan Carlos, Eddar, and the driver whose name I can't remember. They were extremely accomodating, attentive and most importantly informed. Juan Carlos did an excellent job filling us in on the area of Mexico we were in and some Mayan culture on our ride there. The ruins were very interesting and Eddar's lectures were very educational. The driver was the best I've ever had in Mexico. I never felt unsafe; not once!
We combined our ruin trip with the 7 colors lagoon. This included an amazing authentic Mexican lunch of fajitas. My sister and kayaked in the lagoon, enjoyed some fresh pineapple juice and soaked up some sun rays on the beach.
I highly recommend this tour and agency. I just wish the location of the agency was closer to the pier.

Great tour experience!

We had a great experience! We walked to the company's office which was just a few blocks out of the port area. They transported us in very nice vans and we had phenomenal guides. Patricio was so knowledgable and shared so much wonderful information with us. On our way back to port we stopped at a roadside stand for fresh pineapple. They dropped us off at the port when we were done. A great experience that I would highly recommend.

BEST excursion ever !!!

My husband & I booked this excursion after reading all the great reviews of this tour. Let me tell you, you will not be disappointed! Absolutely loved this tour. Very organized and our tour guide(female) forgot her name but spoke excellent English and was very knowledgeable of the culture and different sites. She asked all our questions and was very sweet. This was an eye opener to us Americans to see how blessed we are. The ruins were beautiful and we went to a local Mayan families house where they provided and amazing spread of their food. We got to make home made tortillas and take a tour of their home. Very sweet family and great hospitality! I highly recommend this tour. More for adults & children over 10. Where they can benefit from the history. Hope to go back again :)

Perfect day

First, thank you for not cancelling our tour. We were the only two who booked this. Our guide, Rosa, was very knowledgeable and helpful throughout the day.
The ruins were every bit as enchanting as we had hoped. Our driver was efficient and safe. The van was very comfortable. Worth the two hour ride,

Excellent tour!

What a great tour we had with Native Choice! Four of us did the Chacchoben Extreme tour and it was a perfect day. The office where we met to start the tour was a very easy straight 4 block walk from the pier. Everyone at the office was very friendly and professional. Our driver Saul did a great job driving and the van was clean and air-conditioned with drinks provided. Our guide Allandra was so wonderful. She provided us with so much interesting information and was so very nice and a pleasure to get to know. At the ruins another guide from the office, Diego, gave us a very interesting and complete tour of the ruins. He was a wealth of information and we learned so much. Then it was off to the 7 Colour Lagoon where we had a fantastic lunch and time to relax. It was absolutely beautiful there and very peaceful. We are so very happy we went with Native Choice and would highly recommend them to everyone.

Very impressed!

This was the first shore excursion I have done that was not offered by the cruise line. So of course I was worried about the usual things: safety, getting back back on time, quality, etc. I read many reviews before making my decision and they were spot on. The staff was wonderful. It was a small group. They were very knowledgeable. Diego was a joy to tour with. Yes, the area around Costa Maya was sketchy. But once we were with Native Choic we felt very safe and they were dedicated to getting us back on time. We took a taxi from the port, mainly bc my Mom couldn't walk that far and then walk the tour. But if you are concerned about walking to their office, the taxi was cheap. Just remember to have cash on hand. The locals don't take credit cards. Another reason I selected NC was because of how they treat their employees and donate a portion of the ticket price to the Mayan Villages. Overall, very happy and I would definitely recommend.
