More that we expected

Tour was more that we expected our duaghter. her husband and our grand daughter enjoyed David's heartfelt narration of the Mayan people. A top notch company in all aspects.

We enjoyed Kathryn at the Mayan family lunch.

We learned a lot and had fun.

We visited Chacchoben ruins with Virginia as our guide. She was most informative about aspects of the Mayan culture and how the ruins related to their beliefs. We learned a lot and had fun. It was nice to be in a small group so that we could hear and ask questions easily. I would recommend this tour to everybody.

The BEST excursion we ever have had!

Although not an excursion directly with RC cruise line, this was the BEST excursion we ever have had! Transportation throughout were nice air-conditioned travel buses similar to Greyhound.

We were led by Ivan, the son of the original land owner and the man that found the ruins in the 70s, prior to the government who currently owns it.

Ivan was extremely intelligent about the land, the history, the ruins, the people,just everything!

We also choose to experience life in a village where we enjoyed a full meal at lunch and learned how to make tortillas, just like in the picture on this site.

As stated before, this was the BEST EXCURSION we ever experienced! Choose this one when you're in Costa Maya!

I give Naitive Choice and Ivan 5 stars

If any one has any doubt about getting off the ship and making the short walk through the terminal gate to meet Ivan in the street out front, don't worry, this man is a gem and I mean that whole heartedly. He is very conciensious and wants to show people how well organized his tour is. His staff were just great and went out of their way to make us comfortable. The man is proud of his Mayan herritage and it shows. I give Naitive Choice and Ivan 5 stars and would feel comfortable going any where in his country with him. The Port should be ashamed for making guy's like Ivan stand outside because they are independents and don't work for the cruise lines. John and Judy Purcell

What a wonderful expience

What a wonderful expience we had at the Chocchoben Mayan Ruins and the visit with lunch in the village. Everyone was to kind, Ivan so knowledgeable.

We learned so much that day and will certainly go again when we return to Costa Maya.
I recommend this tour and Ivan and his team to anyone wanting to truly experience Mayan culture.

What a wonderful experiene.

What a wonderful experiene. My friend Jan Ockaskis and I totally enjoyed our tour and history lesson with Ivan. Such a knowledgeable and personable young man. We learned much about the Mayan culture, ruins and calendar. Such a pleasant and unique experience we had at the village that Ivan took us to for lunch.

The experience is what really made the cruise such a terrific experience. I will never forget that day. The ladies were so kind, smiling all the time, showed us how to make tortillas and cooked us such a delicious meal and treated us to a couple of dances. I would recommend this experience to anyone wanting to experience the Mayan culture and not just see the ruins. Ivan keep your passion for what you are doing and don't grow too large as to loose the true feel of your village.

I am glad that I chose Native Choice!!

I booked this tour for November 10, 2009 after researching with different sources and I am glad that I chose Native Choice!!
David and Noel were our guides at the Ruins and David was truly remarkable with his knowledge and passion in his work. David’s stories really touched me and made my trip really just sooooo cool.
We were in a small group and that really made the one-on-one interaction truly special as well.
David met us at the Native Choice Booth at the port and we traveled in a van for the 45 min drive with Noel & Ivan to the Ruins. Noel talked almost the entire time telling us of the history of the area. We met up with David again at the ruins and were able to hear stories of him growing up in the area and also he was able to find some artifacts at the ruins. An awesome piece of an old necklace, pieces of a water pitcher, and a sort of old Indian shaving tool.
If you want the best of the best then book your tour with David and Ivan's. I have told our incredible experience to many people and I would not hesitate to book with them again.
A truly remarkable experience. Thanks again

David is very easy on the eyes too… I am thinking of asking him to marry me. Hmm??

We loved it!

Hello,

We just did a Chacchoben tour 3 days ago and we loved it. We had 2 friends with us and everybody loved the explainations and comments of our guide David. He was very attentive to us. He let us enough time to enjoy every aspect of the tour.
