I give Naitive Choice and Ivan 5 stars

If any one has any doubt about getting off the ship and making the short walk through the terminal gate to meet Ivan in the street out front, don't worry, this man is a gem and I mean that whole heartedly. He is very conciensious and wants to show people how well organized his tour is. His staff were just great and went out of their way to make us comfortable. The man is proud of his Mayan herritage and it shows. I give Naitive Choice and Ivan 5 stars and would feel comfortable going any where in his country with him. The Port should be ashamed for making guy's like Ivan stand outside because they are independents and don't work for the cruise lines. John and Judy Purcell

What a wonderful expience

What a wonderful expience we had at the Chocchoben Mayan Ruins and the visit with lunch in the village. Everyone was to kind, Ivan so knowledgeable.

We learned so much that day and will certainly go again when we return to Costa Maya.
I recommend this tour and Ivan and his team to anyone wanting to truly experience Mayan culture.

What a wonderful experiene.

What a wonderful experiene. My friend Jan Ockaskis and I totally enjoyed our tour and history lesson with Ivan. Such a knowledgeable and personable young man. We learned much about the Mayan culture, ruins and calendar. Such a pleasant and unique experience we had at the village that Ivan took us to for lunch.

The experience is what really made the cruise such a terrific experience. I will never forget that day. The ladies were so kind, smiling all the time, showed us how to make tortillas and cooked us such a delicious meal and treated us to a couple of dances. I would recommend this experience to anyone wanting to experience the Mayan culture and not just see the ruins. Ivan keep your passion for what you are doing and don't grow too large as to loose the true feel of your village.

I am glad that I chose Native Choice!!

I booked this tour for November 10, 2009 after researching with different sources and I am glad that I chose Native Choice!!
David and Noel were our guides at the Ruins and David was truly remarkable with his knowledge and passion in his work. David’s stories really touched me and made my trip really just sooooo cool.
We were in a small group and that really made the one-on-one interaction truly special as well.
David met us at the Native Choice Booth at the port and we traveled in a van for the 45 min drive with Noel & Ivan to the Ruins. Noel talked almost the entire time telling us of the history of the area. We met up with David again at the ruins and were able to hear stories of him growing up in the area and also he was able to find some artifacts at the ruins. An awesome piece of an old necklace, pieces of a water pitcher, and a sort of old Indian shaving tool.
If you want the best of the best then book your tour with David and Ivan's. I have told our incredible experience to many people and I would not hesitate to book with them again.
A truly remarkable experience. Thanks again

David is very easy on the eyes too… I am thinking of asking him to marry me. Hmm??

We loved it!

We just did a Chacchoben tour 3 days ago and we loved it. We had 2 friends with us and everybody loved the explainations and comments of our guide David. He was very attentive to us. He let us enough time to enjoy every aspect of the tour.

Thank you we will recomand the native choice to everybody!!

The highlight of my entire week!

We did the Mayan Experience Tour and it was the highlight of my entire week!
Ivan was our guide, I doubt that anyone knows more about Ruins and Chacohaben than he does.
The Ruins were very beautiful, Ivan takes his time and explains the history and answers all questions.
After the Ruins we were transported to the home of a Maya Family for a wonderful visit and lunch, the meal was better than anything I ate on the Cruise Ship. It was very fresh and all vegetables were grown on the property. The women were so gracious and beautiful, they made tortillas with us, we danced. They made us feel so welcome.
I can not wait to return to Costa Maya. Thank you Ivan for a wonderful memory.

An absolutely amazing time

We just wanted to thank you for an absolutely amazing time, both at the ruins and spending time with the family in the village. The entire experience was far beyond what we had imagined it would be, and the things we learned about the Mayan people, their history and their culture were truly eye-opening. Such an enjoyable excursion.

We did the Mayan Experience tour with Ivan. We highly recommend this to everyone. Ivan has so much knowledge to share about the Mayan culture and that is what made for such an enjoyable excursion. Lunch with the Mayan family was special. This is a relaxed tour with a small group. So much better than going with a large bus load of people.
