We thoroughly enjoyed our tour

We thoroughly enjoyed our Mayan Experience tour.

The Chaccoben ruins were well explained with the local guide and our visit and meal at the Mayan village were excellent. Our hosts were welcoming and most hospitable. Our guide, Noele (from Argentina) was very good. She looked after our group very well, was very knowledgeable, personable, and friendly. Definitely a worth while experience!

Excellent tour

Your tour was excellent. We had Cathy as our tour guide on the bus to and from ruins.

Ivan took over at the ruins. He was very informative. We learned about the Mayan's culture. Where they came from, how they lived and what happened to them. He showed how their math worked and explain the Mayan calendar.

The best part for me was the Mayan meal. I learned what they cooked, what they used and how it was used. I was very impressed with their house and all the flowers.
The food was fantastic.

I would highly recommend this tour to any one.

David was a fantastic guide!

David was a fantastic guide! He went out of his way to answer questions and show you things you just wouldn't experience on the typical cruise excursion.

I could not recommend this excursion more! Thanks David and the whole team for a great time!

The best 'off ship' experience we have ever done

This was the best 'off ship' experience we have ever done in all of our cruises and was far better than we even imagined.

After arival in Costa Maya and a short walk to your office, we were loaded into a small van with only two other couples and headed to the ruins. Our guide (Christina I believe) was very knowledgeable and pointed out sites along the way. I don't remember the tour guides name at the ruins but he was very knowledgeable as well. After leaving the ruins we headed for the 'lagoon'. The German couple that own the resort at the lagoon are great and the food/margeritas were OUTSTANDING! I still can't believe this was all included in one $75 dollar price.

After lunch and paddling around the lagoon in a kayak, (and relaxing in complete solitude without hearing anything such as city noise or vehicle) we were then offered a drink for the road and we headed back to the ship. Thanks for all you provide to us tourists. We are already planning on when we can come back.

David has encyclopedic knowledge of Chacchoben, the Mayan philosophy, the history of the site, Mayan trade and products, plant life and uses, etc. Every question was treated with respect and answered to our satisfaction.

There was even a separate guide doing the tour in French! Very professional group!

Excellent Tour!!

Excellent Tour!!

David and Jose were very informative and knowledgable about the Mayans. The group was small and offered an in depth look of the culture. The bus ride to the ruins was very comfortable. During the 45-50 minute drive, David and Jose amazed us with their undertstanding of their own culture. We enjoyed the local pineapple with the crushed peppers and spice. We would highly recommend this tour!!! Keep up the good work!

By far the best excursion we had been on.

This was by far the best excursion we had been on. Ivan was so knowledgeable and eager to share the Mayan history with us. He answered all our questions and then some. We didn't expect the wonderful reception we received at the Mayan home. This was truly above and beyond. It was so wonderful to be part of the Mayan people for one day. We couldn't decide what was the best part, making the tortillas, enjoying the Mayan meal, watching a Mayan dance or just being able to engage with the people. We loved every minute of it. Thank you all so much for an amazing day!

I cannot imagine visiting the Chacchoben ruins with anyone else. Having done one previous Mayan ruins tour in Belize two years ago, it is amazing the difference it makes to take a tour with someone so proud to share his cultural heritage. The passion with which you speak about the history, religion and culture is palpable and makes all the difference between just seeing the site and truly experiencing it. Thank you so much for sharing that part of yourself with us.

The chance to visit with the Mayan women in Chacchoben village was also something that I will never forget. They are all so gracious and friendly, and it is wonderful to be able to truly connect with the people of the area in a way few tourists are able to do.

Thank you again. I will definitely recommend your tour to anyone I know who is visiting Costa Maya, and if I come back I will have to book with you again to visit another site!
