By far the highlight of our trip.

The Tour was by far the highlight of our trip. First, we visited the Chacchoben Maya Ruins then had wonderful lunch and experienced the modern day Mayan life. Ivan was a wealth of knowledge.

The movement toward sustainability in the US could benefit greatly from the everyday practices of these beautiful people.

Thank you so much for such a memorable day touring the ruins and being hosted by such beautiful ladies. We loved the history and culture and the way you so graciously presented it. The food was out of this world. I cannot imagine a better way to experience the Mayan culture. We bought chili powder in Cozumel and have been eating it on our fruit and spicing our food.

We will definitely recommend you and Native Tours to everyone heading that way. Again, thank you for sharing your personal history with us. It was very special. Hope to come back one day.

What a wonderful day! My friends and I enjoyed the wealth of information, the beautiful ruins, the people and the fantastic lunch and dancing! I wish we could have enjoyed another day or two there.

A day we will never forget

Dear Ivan,

I would like to take the belated opportunity to thank you for the wonderful tour you organised for us on 9 April 2009. It was the highlight of our cruise.

It was so obvious you were so passionate about the Mayan history and culture and your enthusiasm was passed on to all members of the tour party that day. It was definitely a day we will never forget, the temples and city ruins were quite spectacular.
The lunch with the local family was again another experience we will never forget. It was quite a fantastic and probably unique experience to sit down and eat in these circumstances. The ladies who cooked the meal were very patient with everybody and it was certainly appreciated by our party. They appeared to be a very happy and contented group of people, without the stress of the modern western world. The benefit your visits must bring to the villagers is to be commended.
Our daughter thoroughly enjoyed the day and the experience in the village has taught her that not everybody in the world lives in the same somewhat excessive way as we do in the UK. It was amazing to see your daughter, the two boys, and our daughter Mia all playing together despite the fact they could not actually speak to each other. I have attached a few of pictures of the children playing together - it was a quite magical and humbling experience.
I hope your business continues to develop, you deserve the success due to to your enthusiasm alone.
I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending your trips to anybody visiting Costa Maya in future.

The guided tour that we were so fortunate to take with you will

An absolutely wonderful tour.

This was an absolutely wonderful tour. David had great knowledge of Mayan history and legends, and gave us a thorough tour of the Chacchoben ruins. And Maria, who helped out, was also charming and informative.

Then our visit to the Mayan family was great. We enjoyed making the tortillas (even though mine was discarded as inadequate - my wife's one passed muster, however). Then we had a delicious lunch and enjoyed a very nice dance performance, including the bottle dance. We highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Costa Maya.
