May daughter, my niece and myself took this tour while visiting the port of Costa Maya. I cannot even begin to express how wonderful our experience was! Our tour guide Edder was extremely enthusiastic and so informative; he even brought visual aids on our tour of the ruins! When driving to the lagoon, I must admit that the isolated dirt road through the jungle made us a little nervous. However, our driver Pepe handled it expertly, and even got us back to port with time to spare for shopping! I would highly recommend this company for anyone looking for a shore excursion while in Costa Maya; their level of professionalism is unsurpassed.

A fantastic time
We went to the Chacchoben ruins and Ivan was our tour guide. I have never been on tour with someone so knowledgeable about his surroundings, it was a pleasure listening about the Mayan history. It turned out to be the highlight of our trip.

This excursion was amazing!
This excursion was amazing! It is kind of a long ride from the port to the ruins, however our guide Eddar made the whole ride engaging and interesting. Once we got to the ruins he explained everything in detail, however kept everything interesting and fun. We really can't give it up for Eddar enough as he made the whole excursion worth it for us. Thank you, Eddar!

A perfect trip!
Erick and Miguel were the best team! Erick was more than knowledgeable! He provided so much more history than other guides we've had in the past. His passion for the culture and history is very evident is his presentation. The best guide by far! Not only did Miguel do an excellent job driving us, he went above and beyond during the tour. My wife has trouble with exhaustion due to a medical condition so Miguel carried a chair along for her to sit and rest. Plus he had a cooler with bottled waters for everyone during the tour. By far the BEST crew for visiting this great archeological site! If we are fortunate enough to get back to this area we will definitely go straight to The Native Choice for our needs!
