This experience was amazing.

This experience was amazing. Ivan was so nice and informative and easy going. He educated us on the culture and mythology of the Mayan people as well as the cultural changes going on the this part of Mexico. His knowledge was so impressive and he was just pleasant to spend the day around. The ruins were almost surreal. The interpretive tour was very enlightening. I was embarrassed to know so little about such a great culture. Our time spent in Chacchoben village was very special. The lovely woman who welcomed us into her home and shared her food and home and garden with us was so hospitable and accommodating. The food was so good!!! The ingredients and the ability to live in such a sustainible manner is so impressive. It made us so humble and made us realize how much extra junk we have in our lives that is unnecessary. It was, by far, the best experience we have had on our holiday. I have been telling all my frineds about that day.
Thank you so much Ivan, best of luck to you and your family and I hope to visit again. I wish I could remember the Mayan greeting. The best I can do is Malek ing. Please take care and continue to share this mayan experience with others.

Fun and educational.

Our tour in Cozumel was wonderful. It was a little hectic getting to the ferry pier from our ship but we made it on time. The ruins of Tulum were awesome. We took the shuttle to the site instead of walking. We were inspired by the inscriptions and murals on the temples. Our guide from Native Choice was Roxana Cabezas and she was wonderful. She was very knowledgeable, friendly and a pleasure to be with. We can't say enough about this lady as she shows a passion for the Mayan culture which makes the tour fun and educational.

A fantastic experience!

This was a fantastic experience! I can honestly say that if you want the "real deal" to take you on a tour of the ruins in Tulum, you want David Villagomez to be your tour guide. This gentleman is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the Mayan culture and specifically Tulum. Our group was very impressed with David - he did a superior job of educating us, leading us through the ruins, and answering our questions. He also did an excellent job with the logistics of getting us to the ruins and back.

Great guide - highly recommended!!!

A great informative and personal tour

It was because of this website and all the testimonials that we decided to book our tour with The Native Choice instead of with the cruise ship. We are sooooo glad we did.

Eliu gave us a great informative and personal tour of the Chacchoben ruins. He is very knowledgeable of the land and the Mayan people and answered all of our questions.

My only regret is that we did not go to see the small Fisherman's Village the way it is today. Eliu explained that tourism is changing the area so rapidly. We were a little worried about being dropped there and having another taxi drive us back to the pier.

Sorry Eliu, our loss.

Extremely fun and very personal

The next time we travel to Costa Maya, I'll go directly to this company first. This was an extremely fun, very personal, very informative, and very comfortable tour.

Just being in a small group instead of a herd added to the experience immeasurably. It was by far the best experience of our entire trip. Our guide was superb. Thank you Eliu! That really was the best pineapple I've ever eaten.

Words cannot describe this adventure.

WOW! Words cannot describe this adventure. The tour with Ivan will definitely rank as the highlight of our wonderful cruise. It was not so much that we had any bad excursions, but this one was the best. From the time we got in the van until the time we got out, Ivan was full of interesting and pertinent information.

If you do the tour with The Native Choice, we would HIGHLY recommend the lunch with the Mayan family in the village of Chacchoben.
It was a life changing experience my family will never forget. Ivan treated us as family the whole day! Our group had only 7 people from two families and that is what makes it so special.

Keep up the GREAT work Ivan and like I said, don't grow too fast. We would definitely recommend you to anyone that is interested in truly learning about the Costa Maya area and the Mayan culture.

An outstanding tour!

This was an outstanding tour, and I would recommend it to anyone! Ivan was extremely knowledgeable, and we could tell that he had a great love and respect for the area. We learned a great deal from his experiences.

Ivan also watched out for our group, and made sure that we were always in the best place to view the ruins.
