The most informative tour

This was the most informative tour I have ever been on. Ivan shared his knowledge and his love for the mayan culture. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone.

The highlight of our trip

Traveling alone with my 9-year-old son, I was a little nervous about choosing a tour separate from our cruiseline. I had read a lot of testimonials and decided to take a chance on The Native Choice. I am very glad I did!

Our ruins tour with David, then later our visit with Edgar and Grisgo to a private Mayan family home, was the highlight of our trip, and quite possibly the highlight of my son's life! All three men were amazingly knowledgeable, respectful, considerate and most importantly safe!

We will always remember this great experience and look forward to any excuse to go back and take a tour with them again. We will be forever grateful for how they went out of their way to please us.

Excellent guide

Just returned from a cruise which included Costa Maya. We went to Chocchoben Ruins with Eliahu(Eliu). He was an excellent guide.
Knowledgeable about both the ruins and the flora. I'll post a reco on cruise critic.

Highly reccomend The Native Choice

Ivan was our guide to these fascinating Mayan Ruins.
Our transportation to the ruins from the port was very smooth. Ivan drove us to the ruins and en route he gave us a wonderful narration about Costa Maya and it's history. Upon arrival at the ruins we were pleased to see the natural beauty of Chacchoben.

Ivan was very interesting and entertaining. His knowledge of the Mayan culture is outstanding. If you are planning a visit to Costa Maya we highly reccomend you use "The Native Choice" for your touring adventures.

Exceeded our expectations

This tour exceeded our expectations. Our guide Eliu was excellent, extremely knowledgeable about Mayan and Mexican history and culture. The experience also had a very personal feel to it.

A memorable trip

We wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed the tour with Ivan. We made new friends from our group (Hi Jill, Beth, Brian) and really had a great time touring the site. Your knowledge about the Mayan history, Mayan calendar and personal stories growing up in Chacchoben are priceless!
