Amazing Experience

Native Choice was one of the most professional and well organized tour providers that I have ever seen! The tour guides were extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive to the guests needs. The information provided by David at the Chacchoben site was incredible and made the tour that much more impressive and enjoyable. Margeli (spelling?) was a great guide and went above and beyond during the tour. The lunch and visit with the Mayan family was a wonderful experience. The food was amazingly fresh and was better than anything I had on the Cruise Ship all week! Guillermo (memo) the driver was great and professional and I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who is in the Costa Maya port. It was definitely worth the long walk to exit the port to get to their meetup spot. Once you exit the port, it was easy to find their kiosk, it just takes a while to exit the port unless you know the shortcuts through the shopping area.

Amazing Experience!

Our tour guide (Edder) and driver (Tacho) were unbelievable! So much information, great guidance through the ruins, tidbits of information that were really cool, little touches that made it comfortable and perfect! It was a really great experience from start to finish. We even got a fruity surprise and then some on the way back to port.

Wonderful Day

We had an amazing day with Maggie, our guide and Edgar, our driver. The lunch with the Mayan family was very interesting, educational and tasty. The Seven Color Lagoon is beautiful and the location is relaxing. Our only regret was that we had to leave so soon. We could have spent the entire day at the lagoon -- it was so pretty and welcoming.

Awesome day with Maggie and Maleen

What a fabulous day we had! We took a two-stop tour today. There we eight people in our group. A family with four kids and us. The first stop was a Mayan home where we were warmly greeted. Our tour guide Maggie showed us the plaza that was surrounding the home. It was filled with fruit trees and spice trees (cinnamon and allspice). We learned how to make tamales and tortillas! What fun! Then we ate a scrumptious lunch! The four Mayan ladies that were our hostesses all wore traditional clothing that was beautifully embroidered. I was able to purchase a gorgeous embroidered phone/wallet purse. Since recently learning to embroider, I was fascinated with the beautiful artistry!

Our second stop was to a private resort, Bacalar Lagoon Resort. It’s called Seven Color Lagoon. The water felt so wonderful!

Malden was an excellent driver. I felt safe and he got us back to the port at the time promised.

Best Tour in Costa Maya

I spent months researching what we should do in Costa Maya. All the cruise excursions had lengthy travel times and felt overpriced. I then stumbled upon Native Choice and the itinerary and price sounded amazing. After the experience we had I could not be happier with our decision to tour with them. First, the group is much smaller than that of a cruise excursion. This allows you to actually ask questions, not feel overcrowded, and not waste time waiting on people to move from location to location. Second, our guide Lorenzo was SO knowledgeable and friendly. He went above and beyond for our group- making sure we always had enough water, that all our questions were answered, and anything else we needed. Lastly, the resort they take you to at the Seven Color Lagoon is unreal. I was not expecting it to be so nice and new, but we were blown away. It's a private venue so there was no overcrowding, the lunch was delicious, and we were able to swim and kayak with ease. Nothing felt rushed at all, and we got back to our ship in plenty of time. I can't recommend this tour enough!

Excellent tour

I was very impressed with this tour. I believe it was Maggie, Edgar and Ivan that were the driver and guides. Well done by all. Definitely worth the walk from the cruise ship to their office.
