Great tour!!
My wife and I booked the Tour with Native Choice after watching a YouTube video and were not disappointed. After paying we were escort to a very clean van and our driver Heriberto did a Great job at getting us to our destination in a timely manner.. Our Tour guide Alodra told us about Mexico and Mayan history during the ride to the site. She told us way more than I could possibly remember! You could tell she is very passionate about what she does! I highly recommend them.

Excellent! Very Informative!
Joel and Jesus were great! Joel was very knowledgeable and presented with a clear passion for helping visitors learn. He explained the delicate issue of human sacrifice very honestly, but without any gory details that might upset children or others easily upset. He answered questions and was very friendly throughout the tour.
Jesus was our driver and also helped with the walking tour. He carried bottled water and made sure everyone stayed hydrated.
I highly recommend this tour!

I was on the Chacchoben Ruins tour on Thursday, February 26. Our group had Abel as our driver, Eliott as our co-guide, and David as our specialist. They were absolutely fantastic.
From the moment we met them, they were friendly, organized, and clearly passionate about sharing the history of the Mayan culture. Abel provided a smooth and comfortable drive, while Eliott and David did an excellent job explaining the history, traditions, and significance of the ruins in a way that was both informative and engaging.
What I appreciated most was how welcoming and personable they were with our group. They answered questions, made everyone feel comfortable, and created a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere throughout the tour.
The ruins themselves were beautiful and fascinating to explore, but the knowledge and enthusiasm of the guides truly made the experience special. Thanks to Abel, Eliott, and David, visiting the Chacchoben Ruins wasn’t just a tour—it felt like being welcomed into the history of the region.
I would highly recommend Native Choice Tours to anyone visiting Costa Maya, and I will gladly recommend them to all of my friends and family.

Great Experience, Amazing Tour Guide
As reviewed by my teenager: We went on this trip with the whole family, and not only was it super fun and impactful, it was also very safe and easy. Our tour guide Eliot was fluent in Mayan and English, which made our learning experience even more fruitful. He was very smart and we learned everything along with him. It was understandable for all ages, and he is very nice. We got to understand a lot about the Mayan culture from someone who lives that way. It was very interesting to learn about how these people live, and it really broadens perspectives. Eliot made the tour personal, and no part of it felt streamlined. I wish we could have stayed with him our whole trip! I would recommend to anyone, it really was amazing! We hope to come again soon!

Alan and Abel are top notch guides. Abel was the driver and was very respectful of the company equipment, which was a new Ford van, and respectful of the passengers comfort on bumpy roads and speed bumps.
Alan was the highlight of all the excursion guides we had on our cruise. He explained local culture, customs and locations with expertise as he was born and raised in the area.

Fun and informative
We really enjoyed our tour. The guide, Alondra (SP?) was superb and full of information about the area, wildlife, history, and culture. We were so glad we didn't book through the cruise line and have to deal with a large crowd of people. We had 8 in our tour, and it was perfect. Our driver, Edgar, was safe and nice.

We had a wonderful tour with driver Edgar and guide David. We really appreciated the small group aspect of the tour. David was extremely knowledgeable and did a fine job explaining the history of Chacchoben and the Mayan culture. We had this tour booked several times in the past but previously our ship had been unable to dock. On those occasions the company was very quick to refund our payment. I would highly recommend any tour by The Native Choice. Beats ship tours hands-down!
