THE NATIVE CHOICE OFFICE

FOR THE MOMENT OUR EXCURSIONS ARE DEPARTING FROM THE COSTA MAYA INN HOTEL.

After the devastation caused by hurricane Dean in August 2007, we had to temporarily move our office in Mahahual Village to the Costa Maya Inn Hotel.

 

FINDING TRANSPORTATION AT THE PORT

To get from the Port to any other place in Mahahual Village, you have to take the transportation service from the port.

The port in Costa Maya is private and they have their own transportation units which are the only ones allowed to enter the port and pick up passengers. TAXIS are not allowed to pick up passengers inside the port.

As you dissembark walk to the shopping plaza at the port. As you cross the entrance arch stay on the right hand side and walk passing the shops until you see an exit to the parking lot.

When you are in front of the parking lot, look for the booth where they sell the tickets for the suttle. This booth is hard to miss since it is the only place where you can find transportation at the port, it has a sign reading TICKETS TO THE FISHERME'S VILLAGE.

You can also ask anyone at the port and you will be directed to their only booth.

 

GETTING FROM THE PORT TO COSTA MAYA INN HOTEL.

The ride from the port to Costa Maya Inn Hotel takes around five minutes and the shuttle costs $ 3.00 USD per person.

Costa Maya Inn Hotel is a few blocks away from the port, on the main street (Paseo del Puerto) from the Port to Mahahual Village. It is the largest white building on you will see on the left hand side.

MAKE SURE YOU MENTION THE DRIVER YOU ARE GETTING OFF AT COSTA MAYA INN HOTEL SO HE STOPS RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET.

We will be waiting for you at our desk at the lobby of the hotel. As usual you will identify us by our sign reading THE NATIVE CHOICE.

AT THE END OF THE OUR TOUR WE CAN DROP YOU OFF EITHER BACK AT THE PORT OR AT MAHAHUAL VILLAGE FOR SOME BEACH TIME, SHOPPING OR LUNCH.
