The Chacchoben Extreme adventure will take you from the green of the jungle to a refreshing adventure in the crystal clear waters of the Seven Color Lagoon. Admire its colors as they go from a deep blue to a turquoise green.
Our Chacchoben Extreme Tour includes the Chacchoben Mayan Ruins Tour plus a visit to Laguna Azul, which is a small hotel in the middle of the jungle on the side of one of the most beautiful lagoons we have in Mexico.
Laguna Azul is the place is perfect for a jungle exploration, swimming in the fresh clear waters of the lagoon, kayaking or just to relax enjoying the view under the shade of a cabana.
Please note that we do not guarantee we will see any wild animals during this tour, however, the jungle usually gives us little or big surprises.
CHACCHOBEN EXTREME TOUR DETAILS:
Inclusions: Round transportation in air conditioned van, travel insurance, professional guide, entrance fees, guided tour at Chacchoben Mayan Ruins, bottled water at the beginning of the ruins tour and courtesy drinks at the end.
It also includes a visit to Laguna Azul for swimming and kayaking, includes the use of kayaks and lunch at Laguna Azul.
Duration: 5.5 hours.
Departure Time: This excursion departs from our Hospitality Desk at Lapis Shopping Plaza, one hour after your ship docks.
Deposit: A deposit of $15.00 USD per person is required at the moment of booking to confirm spaces for this excursion. Balance payment will be required ONLY in cash (Pesos or US Dollars) at check-in. Your deposit is refundable if for any reason your cruise ship does not call port in Costa Maya.
Restrictions: Child rate applies for children under 12 years of age.
There is a fee of $4.00 USD (NOT included in the tour price) for the use of video cameras at the ruins of Chacchoben. This fee is paid directly at the entrance of the site.
WE REQUIRE A MINIMUM OF 6 PEOPLE TO OPERATE THIS TOUR
We usually make groups with other people who might be interested in the same tour on the same date. If you book this tour with us and we do not get the minimum of participants required, we will inform you at least one week in advance and will offer you our best possible alternative.
Recommendations: Wear comfortable walking shoes, a hat and sun block lotion would also be a good idea. Consider bringing extra film (or an extra memory card) and batteries for your camera.
Important Notice: Our Chacchoben Extreme Tour departs from our hospitality desk at Lapis Shopping Plaza, one hour after the ship docks. Lapis Shopping Plaza is just 150 yards outside the port, so you do not need transportation to get there.

CHACCHOBEN EXTREME TOUR INFO:
After the ruins tour in Chacchoben the group travels to Laguna Azul. To get there we need to take a trail at the community of Pedro Santos, which is on the way back to Costa Maya. This ride takes around 15 minutes.
Laguna Azul is a small hotel located in the middle of the jungle, on the side of the so famous Seven Color Lagoon (also known as Bacalar Lagoon). It is the perfect place to get in touch with nature and enjoy the beauty of a fresh water lagoon.
The tour includes a short jungle exploration through the trails near Laguna Azul, it also includes kayaking, and definitely the lagoon is tempting for swimming. It is not mandatory that you participate in all the activities, so you may simply choose to relax, while the others participate in the other activities.
Children who like swimming and adventure are also invited to join us.
For this part of the tour a swimming suit is definitely a must. You may also choose to bring your own towel. At Laguna Azul, there are clean bathrooms where you can change.
