The adventure starts when you join your local guide for an amazing kayak tour to the springs and creeks of the Seven Color Lagoon, then on a short hike through the surrounding jungle.
You may simply choose to relax away from the crowds and enjoy this peaceful piece of paradise in a natural setting.
This adventure takes place at the Seven Color Lagoon (Bacalar Lagoon), inside Sian Kaan Biosphere Reserve and surrounded by thousands of acres of tropical forest. This is the perfect location for those seeking adventure in a natural setting or just relax, enjoy the view and a cold drink under the shade of a cabana.
To close a perfect day of adventure at the Seven Color Lagoon, treat yourself with a massage (for an extra fee) pampered by the relaxing sounds of nature.
Blue Lagoon Adventure Tour Details:
Price per person: Adults US$55.00, Children US$40.00.
Inclusions: Round transportation in air conditioned van, travel insurance, English speaking guide, a visit to the Seven Color Lagoon for swimming, kayaking or just to relax. This adventure includes lunch consisting of beef or chicken fajitas, cheese nachos, tacos, guacamole (on season) and chips and salsa. It also includes drinks such as bottled water, sodas, beer, tequila, margaritas, pina coladas and daiquiris. The use of kayaks and facilities is also included.
Duration: 5 hours.
Departure times: This excursion departs from The Native Choice Hospitality Desk (just 150 yards from the port) one hour after your cruise ship docks.
Deposit: A deposit of US$15.00 per person is required at the moment of booking to guarantee spaces for this excursion. Balance payment will be required ONLY in cash at check-in. You can also pay the total of your reservation at the moment of booking if you don't want to carry cash with you.
Your deposit is refundable if for any reason your cruise ship doesn't call port in Costa Maya.
Restrictions: Child rate applies for children under 12 years of age. There is no charge for children 5 years old or under.
Massages must be scheduled ahead of time, if you wish to reserve a massage just let us know at the moment of booking and we will help you with the arrangements. The price for a 50 to 60 minute massage at Bacalar Lagoon is US$30.00
Recommendations: Be ready to get wet, bring your water shoes if you have, a hat, your own towel and biodegradable sun block lotion. Consider bringing extra film (or an extra memory card) and batteries for your camera.

Our excursions depart from our office one hour after your cruise ship docks.
The following itinerary is an example to give you an idea of travel times and times spent at Chacchoben Ruins and at the lagoon. This scenario would apply for a cruise ship arriving to Costa Maya at 8:00AM. Times vary based on your ship's arrival time.

Blue Lagoon Adventure Tour Info:
This adventure takes place at the Seven Color Lagoon (Bacalar Lagoon) which is the second largest lake in Mexico. Bacalar Lagoon is a 83Km long fresh water lake fed by underground springs.
Due to the different depths and sediments accumulating at the bottom of the lagoon, during sunny days it is possible to observe up to seven different shades of blue that go from an electric blue to a turquoise green.
The Lagoon is perfect for kayaking, and is also tempting for swimming. You may simply choose to relax, enjoy the breeze and a cold drink, while the others participate in the other activities.
Children who like swimming and adventure are also invited to join us.
For this tour a swimming suit is definitely a must. You may also choose to bring your own towel. At the lagoon there are clean bathrooms where you can change.
